Often projects fail, not because of one glaring error that everyone is aware of, but because of an aggregation of smaller, less obvious design mistakes that, in combination, prove fatal.
Most who have worked in User Experience Design within the corporate transformation space come into the project armed with knowledge that should result in a successful delivery. Within weeks or even days, the cold reality of the corporate environment dawns - the constant roadblocks, multiple stakeholders with conflicting objectives, lack of common sense, use of out of date program methodologies, gap between business and IT expectations and knowledge, and the commercial funding models which don't account for mistakes, iteration or customers trials - all adding up to a seemingly impossible environment.
